Ashford returns to Broadway on March 20, 2023 in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production will be held in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The team behind Hamilton producers Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the control of the production. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, based off the scandal that included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the nation crisis. Ashford starred for two seasons in CBS successful comedy B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Additional Broadway roles include Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and her first role as Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots a performance for which she also received a Tony Award nomination. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and currently splits her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
